These extraordinary hand-embroidered prayer cloths are made by Shipibo artists from the family of shamans that I study with in the Amazon jungle of Peru. I fell in love with the beauty and power of these fabrics, so I now bring them to you through Drumming the Soul Awake’s online store.

These cloths are lovely in their artistry, but they are also prayer songs embedded in a physical cloth - the same prayers that the shamans sing in ceremony and to people they are healing. Each cloth emits the vibration of the particular prayer song. These one-of-a-kind art works are suitable for framing or hanging. You can use them for decoration on a flat surface and they make great altar cloths. You can also place them on your body for meditation, healing, or to amplify your own prayers.
