This piece bursts with feminine energy. The vase shapes are called Tinaja (tin-AH-ha). These are clay pots used in ceremonies and they represent the feminine energies (womb) - in this case pouring out new life in the form of the plants. The heart-shaped serpents in the center are also feminine images of the life force itself, and here they also burst out colorful flowers.
