Shamanic Travel

Previous shamanic travel through Drumming the Soul Awake has included small, intimate groups of approximately 12 people who are looking for a spiritual travel experience. The trips are typically ten days. While we have an itinerary for each day, we go where the spirits lead us and take our time at each location. In other words, this isn’t a hop off the tour bus, snap a picture, and move on to the next spot. 

On a previous shamanic tour to Scotland, we drove to Fort William. While we passed by the famous Loch Ness on our way, we didn’t even try to get a photograph of the Loch Ness Monster! Instead, we drove to power spots on the land to work with the ancestors to make offerings. 

For example, on the Isle of Skye, we traveled to the Fairy Pools at the foot of the Black Cullins. With beautiful mountains as the backdrop, we visited the waterfall featuring a series of pools where the water drops from level to level, and each pool has a different color of water. We spent a lot of time there. We collected water, walked over to an empty space, and performed a ceremony. We gave offerings to the spirits of the land. This was a truly powerful experience that allowed the participants to encounter and work with the spirits far more than most travelers ever would.
