Fall Equinox Ireland Trip

Fall Equinox Ireland Trip

Fall Equinox Trip to Ireland Sacred Sites

September 17th - 20th, 2025

SAVE $250 by being in the first four to register!

This trip is designed as the pre-conference add-on to the Society for Shamanic Practice’s (SSP) Ireland conference, September 22-25.

This trip combines the awe and the great fun of exploring Ireland, but we add in the nourishment of making prayers, offerings, and personal ceremonies, making it more of a shamanic pilgrimage than a tourist experience. Shamanically, we travel to these sites to gather power, wisdom, healing and insight. Along the way, you will learn powerful Faery tales, shamanic teachings and recieve healing work.

You don't have to attend the SSP conference to go on my trip, but, together, the SSP conference and my pre-conference trip make for an utterly spectacular 8-day shamanic pilgrimage that takes you to numerous incredible power spots and ancient sites in Ireland. I recommend the SSP conference because it provides you an awesome opportunity, at a truly amazing price, to enjoy some of the most famous sacred Irish sites, guided by several of the best-known shamanic practitioners and scholars in Ireland.

The SSP conference is a completely separate experience from my trip. For information and to register for that, go to the SSP Conference Page.

Trip Itinerary

(We will be a small group of 8, using a 9-passenger van driven by me. The daily order of this itinerary may change.)

Wednesday September 17: Everyone must be in Dublin Wednesday night.

I will likely be in Dublin Tuesday, September 16th but my plans are still in flux. After you register, I will suggest a Dublin hotel, but you will be responsible for making your own reservations in Dublin. (Some people want more time in Dublin or want to choose their own location.)

Thursday September 18: Leave Dublin by about 9 AM. We will stay near Drogheda, Ireland for three nights.

Travel to Newgrange, about an hour north of Dublin. Tour of the interior of the Newgrange monument. This is probably Ireland’s most famous and treasured sacred site – a mammoth ancient “passage tomb” (burial site and liminal place between this world the spirit world). For me, there is no going to Ireland without touring Newgrange. After the tour we will go on a side trip to the River Boyne to make offerings to the water deity, Boann.

Friday September 19

Go to the Hill of Faughart in County Louth, and visit St Brigid’s sacred well and birthplace. We will spend plenty of time here for personal ceremony with the powerful Celtic goddess, Brigid. You’ll be able to collect water from the well, and make prayers for loved ones and for the world.

Saturday September 20: Hike up Slieve Gullion (“The Steep Hill”)

This is a moderately physical hike of about 45 minutes to arrive at one of the ancient archaeological gems of Ireland - the Calliagh Berra's House This is the highest passage-tomb in Ireland at 570 meters above sea level. It has a covered cairn located on the summit. Here we will work with the Cailleach (Berra), the “old veiled woman,” a powerful Irish figure of transformation, cleansing, initiation and shape-shifting.

Sunday September 21

We end our trip in Drogheda Saturday night. On Sunday, I make my way a day early to the SSP conference site, the Belinter Hotel. Those attending the SSP conference may choose to stay in Drogheda one more day and night, then take the brief taxi to the SSP conference on Monday the 22nd. (At this writing, there are no rooms available at Belinter House Sunday night.) If you are heading back to Dublin, there are numerous buses and trains from Drogheda.

Save $250 by being in the first four to register!

($1,995 for the first four)

Afterward: $2,350

The price includes the private small group experiences and ceremonies, and lodging for three nights near Drogheda, in shared rooms (two per room). Expect the lodging to be comfy and safe, but not luxurious. The fee also covers ground transport beginning when we leave Dublin on the 18th to when we return to Drogheda on the afternoon of the 20th.

If you want a private room for the three days, add on $450 to your budget, and let me know when you register. If you snore loudly, have a CPAP machine, or have serious sleeping issues, please take a private room. Questions: please contact me:

Jaime@drummingthesoulawake.com

The fee does not cover your hotel in Dublin on the 17th or before, nor your hotel on Sunday the 21st. It doesn’t cover your Newgrange entrance fee (about $30). I make the Newgrange reservations 30 days before our trip and pay the fees, and you can reimburse me.

You will be responsible for booking your own airfare, and for all food and drink. You are responsible for booking and paying for your hotel in Dublin before our trip begins, and for booking and paying for your hotel in Drogheda or elsewhere on Sunday the 21st. I will offer you suggestions for the Dublin hotel after you make a deposit.

Note: it may take a while for me to be able to announce that this trip is a confirmed “go.” It’s a small group, so I do expect it to fill fast, but one never knows. Make early flight reservations at your own risk.

Reserve your spot(s) by making a $500 deposit per person.

  • You may use the PayPal Button below (with a $15 PayPal fee)
  • You can pay $515 per person through Venmo (@DrumSoul). If you use Venmo, please add your email address to the note or I won't be able to contact you!
  • You may send a check ($500) to Drumming the Soul Awake, 4227 Lyndale Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55409
  • An email telling me the check is on it's way helps. Because the group is so small, I can't guarantee that your check-paid-for spot won't get taken by an online reservation while the check is in the mail.

The deposit is non-refundable if you withdraw from the trip for any reason unless I can fill your spot. It is refundable if the trip gets cancelled from my end for any reason.

What Previous Traveler's Had to Say...

"Traveling with Jaime was a life-changing experience. He led us to places of extraordinary beauty and spiritual power, where we had a perfect mix of structured teachings and free time for personal exploration. What began as a group of strangers felt like a family by the end of the trip. For anyone interested in cultivating a more spiritual life, a trip like this is an invaluable opportunity to immerse yourself in a kind of beauty and wonder that can further you on your path. Since coming home I've felt stronger, more centered, and more peaceful than ever. I'm already planning my next trip abroad with Jaime!"

"Being in a class or ceremonial space with Jaime is the spiritual experience I always wanted from church but never found. Jaime moves easily between the sacred and the silly, putting everyone at ease and creating an amazing camaraderie and intimacy between strangers. The class was motivating, inspiring, and thought-provoking. I would take any class from Jaime because I know that in anything he leads, I will be reminded of how sacred life is and feel connected to my deepest self."
