The list of resources below will grow week by week. These will help you dive deeper into the ideas and practices in the class if you want to.
- The first two classes draw from material in Jose Stevens’ book “The Power Path.” The book is aimed a little at business leaders, but don’t let that out you off. I also draw from Don Miguel Ruiz’ books “The Four Agreements” and “the Fifth Agreement.” If you have not read the first, I highly recommend it.
- Shamanic journey drumming: Below are links drumming audios I made. There are also shamanic drumming audios on Spotify and YouTube. Please try to use audios with just straight drumming – no other decorations like flutes, synthesizers, voices etc. I also recommend an audio offered by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, Link to purchase:
#7, multiple drumming.
- Journey Audio (Click to open, 15 minutes, some guided narration followed by drumming)
- Link to an audio book by Pema Chodron,
Bodhisatva Mind. The Tibetan Buddhist world is helpful to fill in practices tor “Mind Training” that shamanism books rarely talk about. In this audio, Chodron teaches from an ancient Tibetan text called “The Way of the Boddhisatva.” A bodhisattva is someone who commits themselves to helping all beings attain enlightenment. This ancient text lays out some useful and beautiful ideas for living with more love and compassion – and therefore, more personal power.
