Below is a list of resources and suggested reading before our first class, plus two drum journey audio I made. The journey audios are most effective through headphones.
1) Video interview with Celtic Teachers (About an hour)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqkYrpdUOLg
2) “Knowledge in the west, battle in the north, prosperity in the east, music in the south, and kingship in the centre.” These words come from the old story called “The Settling of the Manor at Tara.” This is the ancient tale that we use as “proof” that the Celts did work with a wheel in the way we describe.
Candlelit Tales version (A very good podcast):

Bard Mythologies version with text:

3) Wally Brown, Din’e (Navajo) Elder gives helpful teaching on prayer. This Navajo elder has a series of short videos that open a window into indigenous thought and practice.)

4) Video of Jaime Calling in the Directions (an example)

5) My Blog, “How to thrive in a declining empire.”

6) Overview of The Celtic Shamanic Tradition and Medicine Wheel guide (PDF)
7) Basic Shamanic Journey guide (PDF)
9) Journey Audio (Some guided narration followed by drumming)
10)
Multiple Drum 21 Minute Journey (Straight drumming)
10.a) Another good resource for a shamanic drum journey audio is the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. (I have used #7 Multiple Drumming for many years.)There are also many drum journey audios on YouTube, however, they may have ads interrupting them. Spotify also has "Shamanic Drum" audios, but many of them are cluttered with multiple instruments. You are looking for something rather simple, lasting a minimum of 9 minutes.
11) A very good book on Celtic Shamanism: Fire in the Head, by Tom Cowan ($17.99)
https://www.amazon.com/Fire-Head-Shamanism-Celtic-Spirit/dp/0062501747
12) Here is the link to the Facebook page Called Circle Stories." (you may need a Facebook account to see it). It's a very good blog about Irish spiritual traditions by David Halpin:
